Grievances of a Working Mother

From women's eyes this doctrine I derive

They sparkle still the right Promethean fire

They are the books, the arts, the academies

The status of society ascribed  to the status of women:     

The position of women in the scale of public opinion varies from society to society. In some societies, they are mere chattels while in some others they are deemed assets. The degree of the civilized or uncivilized community depends on the standard of how they treat their women. But this is not the same everywhere.  The challenges working women confront are very crucial. Do they get the acknowledgment they deserve? 

The two-tier role of female :

Pakistani society, which is typically founded on patriarchal culture. Man is considered the supreme power and breadwinner for his family. The primary role which is assigned to a woman is a house maker. Within the embankments of her house, she is expected to live. A few of them determine to go and work out. For a career, persuasion, and reaping financial stability, she faces many challenges which are brutal and lethal. 

A hallway of the throne :

      The life of a working mother is much challenging and full of responsibilities. The endless and noncooperative attitude of the kith and kind is very despicable and she equally confronts targeted behavior in her home and office simultaneously. Is she receiving equal treatment as her husband does? The answer is 'No'. From dawn to dusk working mother labor arduously. When she reaches home she has to take care of her children and in-laws. During her duty, if she gets a respite, she just clings to the phone to inquire about kids and house chores. From cooking food to cleaning home and supervising maid she has to look after nominals. Ladened with domestic jobs, she has to serve unexpected guests. If any of the family members is sick she is to attend. Furthermore, Children's studies, their homework, and their performance is also her obligation. Alone she is accountable for every single negligence. No one spares her if she commits an error.

Husband compassionless behavior:

The man of our society is also working diligently in the office. Relishing break time with colleagues he comes home he wants an organized home, children, and wife. He is served with delicious lunch. From a snack to meal his wife fulfilled her every wish. He takes a seat in tv lounge watch unflinching a series of tv news, sports matches, and reality programs awaited in Que or he will go out with a friend to refreshen himself. Afterward, he hits the sack because it's time for his rest.

Unequal responsibilities:

It's not typically a man's mistake. The stereotype society made man not lend his hand in domestic work. Even if he tries to assist his wife he must be called henpecked. He appears to be a laughing stock and known as Zan Mureed in his family.  So to thwart the title, he often neglects his better half woes intentionally. Disregarding that she also went through the same crazy day.

The misconception of male chauvinism: 

The idea of male chauvinism always reigns supreme. The chauvinistic nature of man renders him a selfish and insensitive individual who ignores the worries and burdens of a woman. He doesn't want the weak woman to dictate to him or instruct him for some work. So it's put the question mark on his superiority if he takes commands from a woman. Once in a Blue Moon, you will find a woman who comes home tired she is offered a glass of water by her husband.

The attitude of in-law :

If a woman earns money for her family it exerts a positive impact on the country's economy too. But new mothers are pressurized to leave the employment as no one there is going to take care of the infant. If she is adamant about the decision of continuing the job she has to entrust the baby either to daycare or to the maid. Much of the female population leave jobs due to this factor. No one is there to share her burden even mother laws refuses to take care of their grandchildren. This form of talent drain is very ubiquitous in Pakistan.

Personal life disruptions :

Hectic days and a busy schedule make it difficult for a working mother to get time for intimacy and love. They don't engage in private time to enjoy themselves with their spouse. The restrained relationship sometimes makes their husbands incline other women that causes a tremendous loss.

Expectations from women:

The new technology especially mobile phones made our children full of aggression and anxiety equally. But the blame of spoiling a child is always crowned on the head of the woman specifically when she is a working woman. It is considered that due to her work she is unable to tame her children or she is criticized for not giving proper time to her children. Certainly, It is not the case. The children of house women can fall to prey vices as to err is human.

Don't ignore nuptials issues:

After spending a hectic day what just a mother wants that is barely asleep. Due to But be mindful of giving time to your husband. Share your thoughts and problems will make you feel light and joyful. It will also save you from the insecurities of infidelity. It's a very bleak picture yet creating an imbalance in married life.

Train your Children:

  As the ratio working women are thriving fastly which is a prosperous sign of improvement and progress. The necessity of the time is to create a balance between work and rest. A working woman should dedicate some time to herself. From the very outset, we must inculcate in our little boys a helping and caring attitude. The mother should delegate domestic duties to the boys since childhood. They must know the value of how to share the burden and assisting. We must train them in washing dishes, laundry and mopping floor. Don't raise them on a gender basis.  Our little efforts can bring wonderful change.

      My appreciation to all working women who sacrifice their comfort and convenience for the betterment. Though it seems very hectic yet your little organized effort can make your life more productive. And your hard work will always be rewarded.
